As we move into September and summer starts drawing to a close, things really pick up at the University of Alberta. While there are still many things happening on campus over the summer, it’s the start of Fall Term classes when campus really comes to life. Over 39,000 undergraduate and graduate students return to campus and a real buzz of excitement fills the air. This excitement extends to the Alberta School of Business and to our Master’s programs.
We’d like to welcome all of our continuing students back to campus and also welcome all incoming students to the University of Alberta and the Alberta School of Business family.
With Orientation beginning earlier in August, our Full Time MBA students were already in settled and in learning mode by the time Fall Term classes officially started on September 1. This year, we welcome students from 21 different countries into the Full Time MBA, bringing a very diverse and global perspective into the class.
Evening MBA Program
Campus isn’t just busy during the day. Students in our Part Time or Evening MBA program are on campus Monday – Thursday nights. Part Time students actually make up the largest proportion of our MBA student body – there are over 280 students currently completing the MBA on a part time basis.
Executive MBA Program
With our Executive MBA classes being held on Friday and Saturday during the term, Sunday is the only day of the week with no formal classes scheduled at the Alberta School of Business (that’s not to say things aren’t happening on Sunday). With 26 new students joining the Executive MBA (EMBA) this year, we have over 50 EMBA students currently in the program.
